Finish a Degree I Already Started
You started college with the best of intentions — but somehow life got in the way. We want you to finish what you started with Georgia Southern. We’ve got the resources you need to help you finish your degree!
Change Your Degree Program
You don’t have to finish the same degree you started if you don’t want to. Some credits can apply to a different degree! You also may be able to complete an associate’s degree in very little time as a first step.
Explore our degree programs to find what fits your needs, even if it is different from the degree you have previously started!
What if I have past academic struggles?
No problem! We’re here to help!
Academic Success Center
The Academic Success Center (ASC) is Georgia Southern University’s inclusive, safe, and student-centered place for learning and growth.
We provide tailored support services that empower, inspire, connect, and positively impact academic success.
Academic Renewal
Academic Renewal, sometimes referred to as academic forgiveness, can assist a student, who for one reason or another, struggled academically, left an institution, and now hopes to return to that same or a different institution.
Learning Support Program
The Learning Support Program provides students with additional support to develop skills in reading, composition, and/or mathematics. Students are enrolled in the Learning Support Program based on placement test results.
Admissions Criteria for Adult Learners
At Georgia Southern, there are a growing number of lifelong learners just like you, nontraditional students seeking a college education later in their lives. And while it might feel like you’re alone in your journey, we’ll walk with you every step of the way. Georgia Southern is committed to providing student support services and convenient resources to assist you when you return to the classroom, no matter if you’re in a traditional face-to-face course on campus, or if you’re studying with us online.
