Keynote Address Summary
The keynote speech, “Play as a Universal Language: Building Possibilities Through Joyful Learning,” will focus on how play can connect children from different cultures, creating meaningful learning experiences for all. The speaker will share stories from their teaching experiences in China about how play-based learning can be adapted to meet the needs of Georgia’s diverse classrooms. Key topics will include the neuroscience of play—showing how play supports brain development—and how creating culturally respectful, inclusive play environments is essential for every child’s growth. The speech will also tie into the conference’s focus on “Innovative Approaches to Early Learning”, showing how play can spark creativity and innovation in the classroom. Ultimately, the speaker will argue that play isn’t just fun—it’s a powerful tool for helping children build empathy, problem-solving skills, and social connections.
