Eagle Explorers Camp

Welcome to Eagle Explorers Camp at Georgia Southern University, where curiosity and adventure come to life! Offered by the Division of Continuing and Professional Education, our camp combines exciting field trips and hands-on activities to provide a fun and educational experience for children ages 9-13. Each day is filled with opportunities for exploration, learning, and personal growth, ensuring an unforgettable experience for every camper.

Campers will enjoy interactive field trips that spark their curiosity, followed by hands-on experiments that reinforce their knowledge and encourage scientific thinking. The camp is led by experienced educators who are passionate about learning and dedicated to guiding campers through each activity in a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment.

Schedule

Each day at Eagle Explorers Camp is filled with exciting adventures, blending field trips and hands-on experiments for a well-rounded learning experience. Campers will explore a variety of exciting locations, which may include:

  • Botanic Gardens: Discover the diversity of plant life and the importance of ecosystems.
  • Museum: Dive into history with fascinating exhibits.
  • Butter Bean Beach: Collect water samples for fieldwork and study environmental science.
  • Kennedy Pond Conservancy: Become pond detectives: collect, classify, and understand aquatic food webs.
  • Oatland Wildlife Center: Engage in hands-on learning about natural habitats and conservation.

In the afternoons, campers return to camp to conduct their own experiments based on what they learned during the field trips. They’ll apply their newfound knowledge through creative activities, fostering curiosity and encouraging scientific thinking.

YOUTH WAIVER REQUIRED FOR PROGRAM PARTICIPATION: Georgia Southern University offers a variety of programs that bring minor participants to campus. We are committed to best practices that will provide a safe and healthy environment for all who participate in these programs.  Each minor participant must have a youth program waiver form submitted prior to the start of the program.
