Georgia Southern Health Services Earns National Accreditation for Quality and Safety
Georgia Southern University Health Services Statesboro Clinic has once again earned accreditation from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), demonstrating its ongoing commitment to providing high-quality, student-centered healthcare. The recent accreditation applies to the Health Services clinic located on the Statesboro Campus.
AAAHC accreditation is recognized as the gold standard for ambulatory (outpatient) healthcare organizations. To achieve this distinction, Health Services voluntarily underwent a comprehensive, independent evaluation of its clinical practices, patient safety protocols, and operations. Accreditation reflects adherence to nationally recognized standards and demonstrates a strong focus on continuous improvement in healthcare delivery.
Georgia Southern’s campus clinics also participate in 1095 Strong, an AAAHC initiative that emphasizes maintaining excellence every day — not just during accreditation surveys. Named for the 1,095 days in the typical three-year accreditation cycle, 1095 Strong reinforces the expectation that quality care and patient safety remain a priority year-round.
