Religious Studies Concentration 

The B.A. Philosophy Concentration in Religious Studies allows you to explore various religious philosophies and their influence on culture and society. It teaches students how to analyze diverse phenomena that have been classified as religious by stressing critical reflection on topics drawn from a range of historical periods and geographical areas.

Concentrations for the Major in Philosophy

The Philosophy major with a Concentration in Religious Studies is an interdisciplinary program that allows you to study a variety of religions from the perspectives that appeal to you. Not only can you take classes with professors trained in Religious Studies and Philosophy from our department, the degree allows you to take courses from other departments, including History, Psychology, English, and Sociology. As a philosophy degree, you  will also be able to enhance your critical thinking skills,  learn to articulare your thoughts clearly, be open to new perspectives, which are valuable skills for any career path.
