ASID Student Day
At the ASID Student Day this year, Gia and Kya had the opportunity to meet the current President of IIDA, Tray Champion, who came to speak at IDA at GSU a couple semesters ago, A furniture designer for Empire, a Steelcase interior designer, and a Principle at Hendrick in Atlanta. Everyone was so kind and engaging. It was wonderful to meet with different students from different schools and engage with the speakers in a small group conversational style. Gia and Kya made a lot of connections and learned so much about the myriad of possibilities out there for an interior designer, the type of work that Steelcase does, and practical knowledge about the industry. The ASID organizers were so happy to have them there and see lots of students come out.
