The future of Bulloch County depends on its people, and their voices are more important than ever. To foster that dialogue, Georgia Southern University’s Institute for Vibrant and Engaged Communities (IVEC) recently kicked off its series of Community Conversations in Brooklet. Community members shared their thoughts and concerns about the community.
New institute launches ‘Vibrant Bulloch’ public discussions Thursday in Brooklet
The recently founded Institute for Vibrant and Engaged Communities, based at Georgia Southern University, is launching a series of three “Building a Vibrant Bulloch: Uniting for Our Community’s Future” conversations with one Thursday, Sept. 19, from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. in Brooklet at the Randy Newman Community Center, 209 Railroad St.

Building a Vibrant Bulloch: Community Conversations to Shape the County’s Future
Georgia Southern University’s newly established Institute for Vibrant and Engaged Communities (IVEC) is inviting Bulloch County residents to take part in a series of Community Conversations in order to develop actionable strategies for long-term success. Events will be held in Brooklet, Statesboro, and Portal over the next few weeks.

Your Voice Matters: How the data walk is making an impact in Bulloch
Zamaria Ball recounts her experience at last week’s Data Walk at Luetta Moore Park. Organized by United Way and Georgia Southern, these data walks are being used to identify the common issues and challenges facing our community by listening to and learning from the people who are actually experiencing them. YOU can join the next one this Saturday at the Boys & Girls Club. Lunch will be provided!
