About the Program

The Master of Science in Mathematics prepares students for Ph.D. studies in mathematical sciences and careers in industry or teaching. Graduate students can pursue their studies in many areas of pure mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics, and computational science (interdisciplinary). Each graduate student receives individual attention from faculty members on a specially tailored course of study. The focused training the students receive will well prepare them for further graduate studies or help them gain a competitive edge in the job market. Our past graduates pursue doctoral studies or professional careers in education, industry, government, and other fields.
