Research Interests
My research focuses on water quality and aquatic ecology, particularly in estuarine and marine ecosystems. I am interested in how changes in freshwater delivery to these ecosystems affects nutrient and light availability, which in turn influences the abundance, composition, and production of phytoplankton communities. Ultimately, my work aims to understand these connections in order to describe algal bloom dynamics as it relates to ecosystem monitoring, conservation, and restoration.
