Family Events

Family Programs hosts both in-person and virtual events throughout the year to keep families and supporters engaged!

Registration is now open for Spring Family Weekend is now closed.

Families from all three campuses are welcome to attend. Spring Family Weekend is not exclusive to families from the Armstrong Campus.

Please sign up for The Eagle Family Portal to be sure that you get all of the updates and announcements regarding Fall Family Weekend.

Spring Family Weekend is open to families of any current Georgia Southern student on ANY of our three campuses. The event is not limited to families from our Armstrong campus.
Members of the Parent & Family Association (PFA) receive a $10 discount on packages. To join the PFA, click here.
Refunds: No refunds will be issued. If you are unable to attend the event, your Family Weekend items can be picked up by your student the week after the event.
We ask that packages be purchased for children 8 and older. Unfortunately, we do not offer youth t-shirt sizes.
Every effort will be made to hold events rain or shine. Some events may be canceled in the event of severe weather.

Option to purchase discounted tickets to Savannah Ghost Pirates hockey game on Friday, February 7th. (NOTE: additional purchase of tickets is required)

Free trolley transportation to Downtown Savannah on Saturday, February 8th

Parking and Transportation (October 2024)- In this session, we hear from our members of Auxiliary Services and Parking and Transportation about the recent changes to student and guest parking as well as provide some important tips for students trying to park on campus. Parent and Family Association Scholarship Info Session (June 2024)- In this session, we review the application process for students interested in applying for our Parent and Family Association Scholarships. Link to Recording of Full Session
Office of Career and Professional Development (March 2024)- In this session, McKenzie Peterman, Associate Director in the Office of Career and Professional Development shares information regarding services provided within their office to assist your students. These services include internship, workshops, and Ready Day One access. Link to Recording of Full Session
Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life (October 2023)- In this session, Dr. Francisco Lugo, Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life, shares information on the process for joining a fraternity or sorority as well as discusses all of the benefits on being part of a Greek organization at Georgia Southern.
