The Office of Financial Aid at Georgia Southern University offers personalized financial and money management education for all students. Alongside seminars and presentations, we provide confidential one-on-one financial consultations. Best of all, these outreach and services are completely free for students. To schedule an appointment with a Financial Aid counselor, simply email finlit@georgiasouthern.edu with your Eagle ID and preferred time, date, and campus location.

To schedule a presentation for your class, student organization, or office, please complete the form attached here. Be sure to include your preferred time, date, and campus location. Please note that the cutoff time for presentation requests is 6:00 P.M. Additionally, if you’re a local high school or community organization, we’re happy to provide financial literacy education to you too!

Within our department, you can:

• Learn how to plan, track, and review income, savings, and expenses
• Understand credit reports and scores
• Learn how to establish and manage credit
• Create a financial survival plan for college
• Plan for tuition and fee payments
• Create repayment plans for student loans and personal debt
• Plan for expenses and living costs after college
• Learn how to live without your parents’ money and financial support

Services we cannot provide:

• Bankruptcy counseling
• Mortgage and refinancing counseling
• Investment advice
• Contacting creditors
• Selection of financial institutions
• Selection of financial planning services
• Retirement planning
• Tax advice and filling assistance

CashCourse® is your guide to taking charge of your money. Our online personal finance tools help you build real-life-ready financial skills. Explore lessons, games, expert advice, and more!

• Step 1: Visit www.cashcourse.org and click Register for a Free Account under the Students tab.
• Step 2: Fill out the registration form with your name and Georgia Southern University student email address, and create a password.
• Step 3: Select your state and Georgia Southern University from the dropdown menu.
• Step 4: Start using the CashCourse® website!
