Loans

All students must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to receive any form of the following loans.  Additional applications may be required.

• Federal Loans
• Georgia Student Access Loan (SAL)

Students also have the option of applying for  Private/Alternative Loans.

Entrance Loan Counseling

Students who are borrowing funds through the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program for the first time MUST complete Entrance Loan Counseling.

• Complete the Entrance Loan Counseling requirement.

Exit Loan Counseling

Students who have borrowed through the William D. Ford Direct Loan Program while at Georgia Southern University are required by law to participate in Exit Loan Counseling if they are graduating, withdrawing, or dropping below half-time enrollment.

• Complete the Exit Loan Counseling requirement.

Master Promissory Note

• Complete and sign your Federal Direct Stafford Loan Master Promissory Note.
