Research Accounting

Research Accounting supports the research and service functions of Georgia Southern University by providing effective and timely services for the financial post-award management of extramural-sponsored research, service and educational projects.

The primary functions of Research Accounting include the following:

• Award set-up and monitoring in PeopleSoft Financials
  • Support and guidance in the management of award budgets
  • Review and approval of all expenditures related to sponsored projects
• Effort Reporting
• Cost Sharing documentation
