Georgia Southern Halloween Events for 2023
Every October, the cities of Statesboro, Savannah and Hinesville hold events as well as various campus departments and student organizations host Halloween festivities for students, faculty, staff and the community.
Statesboro Halloween Events
Haunted Forest of Statesboro
Student Night: October 26
General Public: October 26 – 31
8 p.m. – Midnight
Tickets: $16.48
Students: $11.33
Zombie Shoot
Shoot down zombie targets in this Halloween-themed tournament! Archers will participate in an 18 meter indoor round, while ages 9 & under will participate in the Yeoman division at 9 meters. Awards will be given to the top three in each division (male and female).

Halloween Open High Challenge Course
This Fall we are offering our Halloween Open High Challenge course on October 31st! The Southern Adventures Challenge Course Program is designed to allow on and off-campus organizations the opportunity to develop functional skills that aid in their leadership development.

Lethal Lectures by Craig Soldaro
Every time Polly Peabody’s in charge of something, it’s murder – literally! In this hour-long play, she’s program chairperson for Professor Hazelton Crandall’s presentation, “Journey Through the Pharaoh’s Tomb.” Unfortunately, the poor professor needs his own tomb before Act I ends, because he’s murdered.

Halloween BOO!-k Display Contest
Join GS University Libraries for a BOO!-k display contest! 👻
Teams will be given a topic and tasked with creating the most hauntingly captivating book display using materials from the GS University Libraries collection. There will be many superlatives announced, including an overall winner who will receive a thrilling prize and bragging rights!

Show your True Blue spirit this Halloween! You can download a pumpkin carving kit (pdf) and carve a Georgia Southern University themed pumpkin. When you’re finished, take a picture of it and share on our Facebook page.
