Annual conference for composition teachers set for February

High school English teachers and college composition professors will join forces at Georgia Southern University on Friday, Feb. 2, at the ninth annual Student Success in First-Year Composition conference.

Hosted by the University’s Department of Writing and Linguistics, the one-day conference features presentations from university and high school instructors on best practices in teaching composition.

College professors, technical school instructors, high school composition teachers, principals, media specialists and graduate students are all invited to participate in the conference.

The $60 fee includes continental breakfast, keynote luncheon, interactive sessions, breaks and exhibits. A late fee of $75 will apply after Friday, Jan. 12. At-the-door registration is also $75.
