Class for human resource professionals will begin on Feb. 5
Human resource practitioners can gain a wealth of employment-related knowledge and prepare for a professional certification exam by enrolling in a Savannah-based evening course.
The non-credit ‘Certificate in Professional Human Resource Management” class will run on 12 consecutive Monday evenings from Feb. 5 through April 23. Each class will meet from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Coastal Georgia Center.
Many participants use the exam-prep course to study for the (Senior) Professional in Human Resources (PHR/SPHR) certification exam.
Offered in partnership with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the Georgia Southern University course uses the SHRM Learning System, a CD-ROM and six modules valued at $695.
The course fee is $925 per person, including the SHRM Learning System. SHRM members will receive a $50 discount upon proof of current membership.
Register by calling the University’s Continuing Education Center at (912) 681-5551. Participants must attend a mandatory one-hour orientation on Jan. 22 or 29. Registration closes on Jan. 29.
