The Georgia Southern University, Continuing Education and Public Service, Medical Managers Advisory Committee has been established to help guide the Continuing Education and Public Service Division in its goal of bringing customized workforce development training to medical offices throughout our region. In conjunction with the Medical Managers Advisory Committee, Georgia Southern is developing a series of programs to support medical professionals in the areas of supervisory leadership, interpersonal communication, office management, human resource skills, time management, and decision-making skills, to name a few.
‘Our goal is to develop and offer programs that will meet the training needs and budgets of our region’s employers,” said Bretti. ‘There is a definite need to offer qualified training to prepare medical office professionals to manage today’s complex medical office operations. With the assistance of our advisory committee, we will examine which courses to offer that may directly relate to the training needs of medical offices in our region.”
