Georgia Southern University Hosts Bill Rancic, First Star of The Apprentice

02-10 Bill RancicLearn the secrets to thriving in corporate America from one of the world’s youngest and most successful entrepreneurs, Bill Rancic, during a special presentation at Georgia Southern University. The first winner of Donald Trump’s reality TV competition, “The Apprentice,” will share his experience and wisdom at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 21, in the Performing Arts Center.

Free and open to the local community, Rancic’s presentation will share tips for securing a job, recognizing and seizing opportunities, and balancing high expectations with personal shortcomings. Audience members will enjoy stories from his first post-college jobs to his experience working for Donald Trump. His advice is applicable to students, entrepreneurs and professionals at any level.

Jodi Middleton, assistant director for the University’s Office of Student Leadership and Civic Engagement, said she hopes students will employ the insightful information they receive from Rancic as they continue their collegiate careers and plan for their lives after college.

“Bill is an excellent example of how a strong work ethic can lead to success. From starting his own business to developing real estate, Bill has made opportunities for himself and knows what it takes to be successful in life,” she said. “Bill is a charismatic leader and the audience is sure to enjoy his stories and benefit from his advice.”

Author of The New York Times best-selling book, You’re Hired: How to Succeed in Business and Life, Rancic now stars in a new reality show on A&E TV, “We Mean Business.” He also funds philanthropic causes through proceeds from his second book, Beyond the Lemonade Stand, which challenges readers to learn the value of money and leverage skills, talents and abilities at a young age.
