Georgia Southern University College of Information Technology Offers IT Certification Exam Testing on Campus
Georgia Southern University’s College of Information Technology has signed an agreement with Pearson VUE®, the electronic certification and licensure testing business of Pearson, to provide Information Technology certification test delivery.
The Pearson VUE advanced computer-based testing system administers certification exams for leading IT programs such as Cisco®, SAP, VMware, CompTIA®, Citrix®, Novell® and others through a global network of quality test centers.
“We are very excited about our new partnership with Pearson VUE,” said Ronald E. Shiffler, interim dean of Georgia Southern University’s College of Information Technology. “By partnering with Pearson, Georgia Southern will now be able to provide even greater service for students and even customers interested in taking their IT certification exam at Georgia Southern.”
The Pearson VUE system provides Georgia Southern with the ability to register and reschedule tests at the on-campus test center, on the Pearson VUE Web site or through a Pearson VUE call center, all in real time via the Internet. The system also provides Georgia Southern with the ability to offer same-day testing or bring testing to a customer’s location.
The growing list of IT certification tests accessible through the Pearson VUE system are delivered directly from the test sponsors. Test results are quickly transmitted back, ensuring the candidate’s certification status is promptly updated.
