Georgia Southern University Named One of The Best 294 Business Schools by The Princeton Review
Georgia Southern University’s College of Business Administration (COBA) has been named one of the best business schools in the country by The Princeton Review. The publication recognized Georgia Southern in The Best 294 Business Schools, which was released this week.
“We are thrilled that the University’s business programs have once again been recognized among the best in the country by The Princeton Review,” said Dr. Brooks Keel, president of Georgia Southern. “This recognition speaks volumes about not only the quality of our business degrees, but also the variety of programs that we offer.”
Georgia Southern offers a variety of options for students wishing to pursue their MBA. Business professionals can choose from:
- Traditional MBA – Offered at its main campus in Statesboro, Ga., or at the Coastal Georgia Center in Savannah, Ga., the classroom-based MBA is perfect for professionals who would like to pursue their degree full- or part-time. Students can also concentrate in one of several areas including information systems, health services administration, international business or earn their SAP Certificate.
- Georgia WebMBA – Taught completely online, the Georgia WebMBA is perfect for working business professionals who want to pursue their degree while also working full-time. The program was recently named one of the best buys in the country by GetEducated.com.
- Executive MBA in Entrepreneurial Leadership – Launched in 2011, Georgia Southern’s new Executive MBA teaches business leaders how to employ entrepreneurial principles in any environment — from a small business to a multi-national corporation.
“To be ranked among the nation’s best is testament to the outstanding professors and to the variety of MBA programs that we offer at Georgia Southern,” said Dr. Ron Shiffler, dean of COBA. “We recognized very early on that business professionals not only wanted to earn their degree from an accredited and reputable University, but from one that provided them with the flexibility and value necessary to fit an MBA into their lifestyle.”
For the 2012 edition, The Princeton Review collected the opinions of more than 19,000 students at the best AACSB-accredited MBA programs in the world. In the publication, Georgia Southern’s programs are profiled in a two-page feature section noting that the programs unite, “an ‘excellent academic reputation’ with a ‘reasonable cost.’” The publication recognizes the University’s more than 40-year history of conferring graduate business degrees through on-campus and online programs.
The Princeton Review states, “Today, a Georgia Southern MBA isn’t only for those in the Savannah-Statesboro region. In addition to the school’s long-standing MBA program for professionals, Georgia Southern’s popular ‘WebMBA program has a good reputation,’ as well as AACSB accreditation. Students who need the convenience of an online diploma choose Georgia Southern because the ‘flexible online format’ makes it easy for students to complete their courses from anywhere in the country.’”
The 2012 edition of The Princeton Review’s guidebook, The Best 294 Business Schools, is now available in bookstores nationwide and via online booksellers. For more information on Georgia Southern’s MBA programs, visit:http://coba.georgiasouthern.edu.
