Give the Gift of Entertainment with 20 Percent Discount on Georgia Southern University Performing Arts Center Spring Series
Looking for the perfect last minute gift and/or stocking stuffer? Georgia Southern University’s Performing Arts Center has a limited-time, 20 percent discount on ticket purchases for each of the spring season’s four shows. The discount will be available until 4 p.m ET on Thursday, Dec. 22.
- On Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012 at 3 p.m., legendary composer Marvin Hamlisch will take the stage. Hamlisch has won three Oscars, four Grammys, four Emmys, a Tony and three Golden Globes. Tickets for his program, “The American Songbook,” are available at the discounted price of $28.
- The nation’s premier boys’ concert choir, The American BoyChoir, will perform on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, at 7 p.m. Tickets will be available for $20 (adult) and $10 (youth).
- Women of Ireland, a compilation of Riverdance performers, singers and musicians from Ireland will depict the pure qualities of Irish music in a contemporary setting. Tickets are on sale for $24 for the Saturday, March 3, 2012 concert.
- The Rodgers & Hammerstein musical South Pacific will close out the spring series on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at 6 p.m. Sale price for the show is $36.
“Giving the gift of entertainment is something that your friends and family will remember well beyond the holiday season,” said Carol Thompson, director of Georgia Southern’s Performing Arts Center. “This is the first time that we have done this type of promotion and with only a limited number of tickets available, we expect to sell out quick.”
Thompson says that the Performing Arts Center box office is open 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. ET during the holidays.
