Georgia Southern Welcomes “Fiddler on the Roof” This Friday Night
Georgia Southern University presents “Fiddler on the Roof” this Friday, Nov. 30 at 7:30 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center (PAC) at 847 Plant Drive in Statesboro. Tickets are $36. Admission for Georgia Southern students is $10.
The original production of “Fiddler on the Roof” premiered in 1964, won nine Tony awards and made millions of people around the world laugh and cry during international tours. “Fiddler on the Roof” focuses on Tevye, the father of five, who faces challenges of faith and family in 1905 Russia.
“Fiddler on the Roof” is just one of the many shows hitting the stage during the 11th season of entertainment at the PAC. Other shows coming to the PAC during its 2012-2013 season include “Cyrano de Bergerac” on Feb. 9, “Hooray for Hollywood” on Feb. 18, “Biloxi Blues” on March 14 and “Stormy Weather: The Lena Horne Project” on May 4.
