Georgia Southern University and the Division of Military Affairs announce online registration begins Friday, Feb. 15 for the fourth annual Crawl, Walk or Run 5K/10K.
The April 20 race at Georgia Southern includes a 5K and a 10K. The Kids Run (ages 14 and under) is $10. The Adult Race is $20 and $30 after April 13. Race day registration is $40. Individuals can only register for one race category and a waiver must be completed in order to participate. Registration includes a take-home bag, t-shirt, water and snacks during the race, a potential award and free admission to the Pre-Race Pasta Party.
The Pre-Race Pasta Party is Friday, April 19 from 5:30 until 8:30 p.m. in the Nessmith-Lane Conference Center Ballroom. The event is hosted by Georgia Southern’s student run radio station, 91.9 The Buzz, and will feature a variety of vendors, raffles, entertainment and a free meal prepared by Eagle Dining services.
The races benefit several military programs including the Wounded Warrior Project and Snacks for Soldiers. Support from Georgia Southern and the surrounding communities has allowed the ROTC to send more than 5,000 snacks to military members serving in Afghanistan.
