Crawl, Walk or Run Registration Deadline Approaches
Online registration ends soon for the fourth annual 5K/10K Crawl, Walk or Run sponsored by Georgia Southern University, the Directorate of Military Affairs and the Eagle Battalion. The race is on Saturday, April 20 at 7:30 a.m.at the RAC Pavilion.
After online registration closes on Tuesday, April 16 at 6 p.m., individuals must register in person at the Nessmith-Lane Conference Center, 847 Plant Drive, during the following hours:
Wednesday, April 17 from 1 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Thursday, April 18 from 1 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Friday, April 19 from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Race t-shirts are not guaranteed for anyone who registers after Monday, April 8. A waiver must be completed to enter and individuals can only participate in one category. The kids run (ages 14 and under) is $10 and the adult race is $20. Race day registration is $40. The fee includes a take-home bag, t-shirt, water and snacks during the race, and free admission to the Pre-Race Pasta Party on Friday, April 19 from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the Nessmith-Lane Conference Center Ballroom. The event is open to anyone who registered to run and will be hosted by Georgia Southern’s student run radio station, 91.9 “The Buzz.” The Pasta Party will feature a variety of vendors, entertainment and a free meal prepared by Eagle Dining Services.
Race packet pick-up will be from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. on April 19 at the Nessmith-Lane Conference Center for people who register by 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16. Packet pick-up for anyone registering after that date will be on race day.
Walk, Crawl or Run raises money for military programs including Snacks for Soldiers. It has received tremendous community support and has helped ship more than 5,000 snacks to military members in Afghanistan since last April.
