Georgia Southern University hosts 45th Annual High School Model United Nations Conference
Georgia Southern University’s Department of Political Science and Division of Continuing Education are hosting the 45th Annual High School Model United Nations Conference in the Nessmith-Lane Conference Center on February 4-6.
This year’s conference brings 350 high school students/delegates from twenty-one schools throughout Georgia and South Carolina to the University. The delegates will caucus and debate world issues and write resolutions during this program.

Thursday, February 4

9:30-10:40 a.m. Welcome and Explanation of Procedures / Opening Statement
10:40-10:45 a.m. Move to Caucus Sessions (General Assembly Only) / Committees Begin
10:45 a.m.–12:30 p.m. Session I: Military and Security Issues – Begins
10:45-11:15 a.m. General Assembly Caucus Sessions and Committee Briefings
10:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Security Council, African Union, Human Rights Council, Organization of Islamic Conference

Friday, February 5
