DNP program receives national ranking by Affordable Colleges Online
The School of Nursing’s Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program has been ranked 39th nationally for the Best Online Doctoral Nursing Degrees for 2016 by Affordable Colleges Online.
In order to be ranked in this category, the institution must offer a bachelor’s degree or higher, must be a public or private not-for-profit institution and must offer at least one fully online bachelor’s degree program. Colleges and universities were evaluated based on their online tuition rate, count of online bachelor’s degrees available in the field, undergraduate student-to-faculty ratios, six-year graduation rate, percentage of students receiving financial aid, academic and career counseling services, job placement for graduates, acceptance rate, loan default rate and the overall value of the online degree.
One of the University’s newer doctoral programs, the post-MSN APN Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree prepares students to provide the highest level of nursing care to individuals and communities. The DNP program was first offered at the University in the fall of 2008.
Georgia Southern University’s School of Nursing is fully accredited by the Georgia Board of Nursing and the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. For more information on the Georgia Southern Online Nursing Program, visit GeorgiaSouthern.edu/nursing.
