11th Annual International Festival set for Nov. 12
The 11th Annual International Festival will be held Nov. 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Mill Creek Regional Park.
Don’t miss live international performances on the World Stage throughout the day and visit the Global Village to learn about various countries chosen by local elementary, middle and high schools as well as charter and home schools. The village is comprised of Brazil, Denmark, India, Italy, Nigeria, Spain and the United Kingdom.
Schools participating this year are Langston Chapel Middle School, Portal Middle/High School, Screven County Middle School, Southeast Bulloch High School, Statesboro Steam, Swainsboro Middle School and William Jones Middle School.
Sample international foods from a variety of countries at the international food court including Argentina, Bahamas, France, Greece, India, Jamaica, Japan, Korea, Lebanon, the Philippines, Thailand and Mexico.
At the world craft bazaar, purchase unique items from China, Ghana, Haiti, India, Kenya, Korea, the Philippines, Taiwan, and Trinidad and Tobago.
Children are invited to “It’s a Small World” where they can create free international arts and crafts including African beaded necklaces, Spanish fans, Brazilian Carnival Masks and more.
