The American Boychoir to Appear at Performing Arts Center

Georgia Southern University’s Performing Arts Center (PAC) will host a special appearance by The American Boychoir on Thursday, Feb. 23 at 7:30 p.m.

The American Boychoir is the United States’ premier boys’ performing choir. The choir has performed in some of the most prestigious venues alongside the world’s top artists. The choir performs around the globe and has upcoming tour dates that will pair them with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and include a Sunday worship service at the U.S. Air Force Academy.

The concert in Statesboro, Ga., will be a homecoming for two of The American Boychoir members. Brothers Daniel and Steven Metrejean are former members of the Statesboro Youth Chorale and the sons of Georgia Southern professors Drs. Eddie and Cheryl Metrejean. The Statesboro Youth Chorale will open the performance with several numbers, and will join The American Boychoir onstage for several more selections during the concert.

“We are so excited to be able to provide our audiences with the chance to enjoy the caliber of talent that The American Boychoir is famous for,” said Georgia Southern PAC Director Carol Thompson. “But this performance is even more special because it is giving our talented children from Statesboro the chance to occupy the stage with the premier performers in their genre. We know this is an experience the performers and the audience will treasure.”

Tickets for the show are $20 for adults and $10 for students and may be purchased at the box office or by calling 912-478-7999.
