Georgia Southern University Welcomes “Liza and Judy: Together Again!” at the PAC

The Georgia Southern University Performing Arts Center (PAC) is pleased to present “Liza and Judy: Together Again”  on stage at the PAC, 847 Plant Drive, at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 6.

Liza and Judy 5Judy Garland and Liza Minnelli, well known especially for the “Wizard of Oz” and “Cabaret,” are respectively brought to life on stage by Suzanne Goulet and Denise Rose during the two-act show. Viewers are transported to a time when the mother and daughter stars were shining on stage together and are able to experience their wonderful energy and the love they had for each other.

Unlike the usual “tribute show,” this performance not only recreates the looks, voices and dance steps of the legends, but it also conceptualizes the mother and daughter being reunited to do one more show together. The show features signature songs from Judy such as “Rockabye Your Baby,” “The Man That Got Away” plus dancers join her in “Swanee” and “Get Happy.” From Liza, viewers will hear “Ring Them Bells,” “Cabaret,” “I love a Piano,” “I’m Glad I’m Not Young Anymore” and many other songs associated with the star.

Tickets for Georgia Southern students are $10, $20 for faculty and staff and $24 for all other patrons. To purchase tickets, contact the PAC Box Office at (912) 478-7999 or visit GeorgiaSouthern.edu/pac.
