School of Nursing Ranks 8th for the Most Affordable Competitive College
The Georgia Southern University School of Nursing’s RN- BSN Program has been named one of the most affordable competitive college programs for online RN-BSN degrees by Best Master of Science in Nursing.
The School of Nursing’s RN-BSN Program was ranked eighth out of 50 schools across the nation for having one of the most affordable Online RN-BSN Degree programs.
“We have always known that we have a high quality program at a very good price here at Georgia Southern University, but this ranking validates that,” said Dr. Sharon Radzyminski, department chair. “Our RN-BSN Program allows for the flexibility that working nurses need to obtain their degree. Not only does the program offer courses not commonly offered in other programs, but program director, Dr. Kathy Thornton, works one-on-one with these nursing students to create personal programs of study.”
The review looked at 76 schools within the United States, including schools like University of Alabama, University of Arkansas, Florida International University, Western Carolina University and University of North Florida among others. To be selected as one of the 50 Most Affordable Competitive Colleges for Online RN-BSN degrees, the nursing schools had to be accredited by either the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (CCNE), state board approved, affordable, and have no more than 60 percent of their applicants admitted.
The RN-BSN Program is approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing and accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. To become enrolled in the RN-BSN Program, a student must currently be a Registered Nurse who desires to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
