09-13 Georgia Southern University Women's Forum to Feature WTOC News Anchor Dawn BakerGeorgia Southern University’s Division of Continuing Education will host author and news anchor Dawn Baker as the keynote speaker at its Women’s Forum on Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012, at 11:30 a.m.   Baker serves as news anchor at WTOC-TV (CBS) in Savannah, Ga.

The Women’s Forum is designed to serve as a place where professional women can gather, discuss issues and topics most important to them.  The Forum also provides the opportunity for attendees to examine their own careers and learn from other women about ways to balance the demands of their professional and personal lives.

Baker’s keynote address, entitled “Become the Best You,” will discuss strategies for living a successful personal and professional life.   She will also be presenting her first book, Dawn’s Daughter: Everything a Woman Needs to Know, which offers sound advice through real life examples and stories.

Following the presentation, Baker will autograph copies of her book, available for purchase.

The Women’s Forum will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the Nessmith-Lane Conference Center located at 847 Plant Drive in Statesboro. The registration fee is $30 and includes lunch.  Registration after Sept. 14 will be $35.
