This remarkable accomplishment sets the university well on its way to its $125 million goal, underscoring the power of collective action and philanthropy in shaping the future of education.

Launched in October 2023, the public phase of the “Together We Soar” campaign was driven by a bold vision: “People. Purpose. Action. Growing ourselves to grow others.” The initiative aims to enhance Georgia Southern’s mission and impact by prioritizing student success and supporting its communities. The overwhelming response from donors and alumni has propelled the campaign to this significant achievement.

“This milestone is a testament to the incredible generosity and belief in our mission,” said Georgia Southern University President Kyle Marrero. “We are deeply humbled and grateful for the outpouring of support that has brought us to this point. Together, we are making a tangible difference in the lives of our students and shaping a brighter future for generations to come.”

Throughout the campaign, numerous endowments and gifts have been established, significantly enhancing the university’s academic and campus infrastructure. Among the notable developments are 106 new endowments covering various academic disciplines, the establishment of the Goel Scholars program offering full-ride scholarships to Honors College students, and the naming of the School of Music as the Fred and Dinah Gretsch School of Music.

Additionally, the campaign has funded the construction and renovation of several key facilities, including the Jack and Ruth Ann Hill Convocation Center, the Anthony P. Tippins Family Training Center, and the J.I. Clements Baseball Stadium.

The Evans Family Field at Allen E. Significant gifts from the Crider family are set to propel the Manufacturing Engineering program, while a commitment from Centene Corporation will bolster the university’s healthcare initiatives for years to come.

The success of the “Together We Soar” campaign highlights the profound impact that philanthropy can have on communities. Every contribution, regardless of size, has played a vital role in reaching this milestone and advancing the shared vision.

“As we celebrate this achievement, we also recognize that our work is far from over,” said Trip Addison, vice president for University Advancement. “With $25 million left to reach our goal, we remain committed to forging ahead, united in our dedication to Georgia Southern’s mission and the individuals and communities we serve.
