{"id":141,"date":"2013-04-05T10:08:00","date_gmt":"2013-04-05T14:08:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ww2.georgiasouthern.edu\/news\/sites\/magazine\/spring13\/?p=141"},"modified":"2014-06-02T14:59:58","modified_gmt":"2014-06-02T18:59:58","slug":"on-the-road","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ww2.georgiasouthern.edu\/news\/magazine\/2013\/04\/05\/on-the-road\/","title":{"rendered":"On the Road"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>\u201cPEOPLE PULL UP BESIDE ME AND STARE \u2014 AND THEN SMILE AND WAVE.\u201d &#8211; STEVE HEIN, DIRECTOR<\/h3>\n<p>Georgia Southern\u2019s Center for Wildlife Education animals are catching the attention of motorists and traveling the roadways in a spacious new minivan, courtesy of a generous donation from NeSmith Chevrolet in Claxton, Ga. The dealership provided a van for Freedom, Suzie Q, Stinker Belle, Clyde, Rosie, Dudley and their pals to travel in style to outreach programs around the country. Colorful images of the Center\u2019s animals are shrink-wrapped on the vehicle, making it a virtual rolling billboard.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor more than two decades, we have provided on-site educational programs around the country,\u201d said Steve Hein, director of the Center.
