Working in state-of-the-art classrooms and laboratories using advanced equipment, students sdesign, build, test, and race the formula-style racing car. Each year, Georgia Southern enters a car in the Society of Automotive Engineers&#8217; Formula SAE competition in Detroit, Mich. Students then compete against 120 other colleges and universities from around the world in a variety of categories. This past year, Georgia Southern finished in the Top 25, besting Duke, Michigan State and the University of Texas to name a few.
