Lecture Series Hosts Rutgers University’s Dr. Nina Fefferman

Rutgers University professor Nina Fefferman, head of the Fefferman Lab at the Center for Discrete Mathematics and Theoretical Computer Science, will speak during the Campus Life Enrichment Committee Lecture Series this month.
Hosted by Georgia Southern University’s Department of Mathematics, Fefferman’s lecture entitled “Math, Complexity and Social Groups” will be held from 6 to 7 p.m., April 24 in the Allen E. Paulson College of Engineering and Information Technology Auditorium (CEIT Room 1004).
Fefferman’s research activities have spanned a broad range of programs from infectious disease epidemiology, biodefense and societal organization, animal behavior, conservation ecology and social network theory to evolutionary sociobiology. Her interests include the use of mathematical models to investigate the interface among ecology, animal behavior and epidemiology.
Refreshments will be provided beginning at 5:30 p.m. The event is free and students, faculty and staff are encouraged to attend. Learn more.
