Assistant Professor Larson Finalist for $50,000 Hudgens Prize
Derek Larson,
assistant professor and director of the 4D/New Media program at Georgia
Southern University, is a finalist for Gwinnett's Hudgens Center for the Arts $50,000 Hudgens Prize.
Larson is one of four finalists. He received his Master of Fine Arts degree
from the Yale School of Art and has participated in a number of national and
international exhibitions and residencies, with recent shows in New Orleans,
Philadelphia, New York and Helsinki. His work has been featured in the Seattle
Times, NY Arts Magazine, The Times-Picayune and Rhizome at The New Museum in

A finalists' exhibition will be on display June 8 - September 7 at Hudgens Center for the Arts, 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway, Building 300, Duluth, Ga., 30097. The winners
will be announced August 10.
