A Taste For Southern Tailgate-Cooking Competition

Southern,” a community and campus wide tailgate-cooking competition benefiting
the Department of Communication Arts Department’s relocation to Sanford Hall.
The cook-off will take
place Saturday, April 27 from 11:30 a.m. - 2:20 p.m. in the faculty/staff

the event, the Eagles will take on Elon.
The Communications Arts Department has joined forces with the Georgia Southern
Eagle’s baseball team to bring the event to campus.
The competition will allow all students and community members to showcase their cooking talents while increasing attendance to the baseball game. The event is free to attend; however, to participate in the cook-off, a $50 entry fee is required. Participants will compete for a 30-minute segment on the cable television show “Statesboro Cooks,” a multimedia communications film crew production.
