You Can Donate to Toys for Tots
They say it is more blessed to give than to receive, and
the Georgia Southern University Department of Public Safety is providing the opportunity
to do just that through the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program.
If you’d like to participate in Statesboro’s local Toys for Tots campaign, bring a new, unwrapped toy to the Department of Public Safety, 1220 Forest Dr., located across from the Center for Wildlife Education by Monday, Dec. 16. A collection box is in the lobby.
Over its life span, the Marine Toys for Tots Program distributed over 469 million toys to over 216 million less fortunate children. This charitable endeavor has made U.S. Marines the leader in looking after less fortunate children at Christmas. The program began in 1947.
