University Programming Board Offers Free Valentine's Movie: "The Notebook"

Valentine’s Day is this Friday, Feb. 14 and The
University Programming Board has a romantic movie in store for you and your
significant other!
Two showings of the free movie are planned for 6 p.m.
and 8 p.m. at the Russell Union Theater.
“The Notebook” is an epic love story centered around an older man who reads aloud to a woman in a nursing home whom he regularly visits. From a faded notebook, the old man's words bring to life the story about a couple who is separated by World War II, and is then passionately reunited, seven years later, after they have taken different paths. Though her memory has faded, his words give her the chance to relive her turbulent youth and the unforgettable love they shared.
Popcorn and candy bars will be available for $1. Both
showings are open to all students, faculty and staff and their significant
others.
