Staff Council Picnic Rescheduled for May 20

An appreciation picnic for faculty and staff members has been rescheduled for Tuesday, May 20 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Recreation Activity Center Pavilion. Hosted by Staff Council, the event has become a springtime tradition and a way for Georgia Southern to say a big ‘thank you’ to all faculty and staff who work so diligently throughout the year.
“Attending the picnic is a good way to share in a day of fun, food and fellowship, and to get to know other staff members,” said Bo Galvin, president of Staff Council and general manager of Georgia Southern University’s Chick-fil-A. “Come out and enjoy a beautiful day in Statesboro, hopefully before it gets too hot.”
Lots of fun activities will take place at the event, including a D.J., True Blue photo booth, raffle prizes and games. Purchase a $1 raffle ticket for your chance to win one of the following items and more:

Proceeds benefit the Staff Council Scholarship and Book Award. Donations will also be accepted. In addition, attendees are encouraged to bring a canned good which will be donated to the Statesboro Food Bank.
