Watch the FIFA World Cup Today at Russell Union
The FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) World Cup is the biggest single-event sporting competition in the world, and staff at Russell Union are inviting the University community to watch the USA take on Germany today, Thursday, June 26, at Noon! “Grab something to eat from Chick-Fil-A or Starbucks and enjoy your lunch break by watching the game on the projection screen or one of the TVs in the building,” said Vince Miller, associate vice president of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management. “Wear your True Red, White and Blue and come join in the fun!” FIFA translated in English is International Federation of Association Football. The competition has been played every four years since the inaugural tournament in 1930, except in 1942 and 1946 because of the Second World War. It fulfills FIFA’s objectives to touch the world, develop the game and build a better future through a variety of ways. Learn more by visiting the FIFA World Cup website.Posted in My News
