Center for International Studies Hosts Panel Discussion on U.S. and ISIS

The Center for International Studies will host a panel discussion on the United States and ISIS, the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, this Thursday, September 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the Russell Union Theatre. Jacek Lubecki, assistant vice president and director of the Center for International Studies, will serve as Chair of the event, and the panelists below will speak on the following topics:
  • Dr. Ahmet Akturk: Historical & Regional Background to the Crisis
  • Dr. Darin Van Tassell: Politics of U.S. Foreign Policy & the Crisis
  • Dr. Glynn Ellis: Military Political Aspects of U.S. Involvement in the Conflict
  • Mr. Youssef Salhi: Arab & Regional Public Opinion and the Conflict
