Meet Diane Norris: New Director of Health Services

Diane Norris, RN, BSN, has been named Director of Health Services at Georgia Southern University. In this role, Norris will manage the day-to-day operations of Health Services including financial and facilities management, information systems, and clinical and ancillary services. In addition, she’ll serve as an advocate for health education and take part in community networking. “I am most excited about being a part of the planning and opening of the new health center and continuing to expand and improve services for the students,” said Norris. Prior to joining Georgia Southern, Norris served as the administrative director of student Health Services at Georgia Regents University in Augusta, Georgia. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta. A member of the American College Health Association, Norris is a native of Dublin, Georgia. Construction will begin on a new Health Services Center at Georgia Southern this December, located at the corner of Chandler Road and Plant Drive, between Southern Pines and the Nessmith-Lane Conference Center.  Opening is scheduled for January 2016. Georgia Southern University Health Services, sponsored by Auxiliary Services, exists to meet and exceed student patients’ full range of medical, counseling, educational and wellness needs with a focus on educating students to be knowledgeable health care consumers, while providing cost-effective and efficient high quality care.
