Faculty and Staff Members Invited to Participate in “International Open Access Week”

The Zach S. Henderson Library is observing “International Open Access Week” Oct. 22 – 23, by offering faculty and staff members free, immediate online access to the results of scholarly research, and the right to use and re-use those results as needed. Participants will learn about PlumX, Digital Commons services, how to publish a journal and more. “’Open Access’ has the power to transform the way research and scientific inquiry are conducted,” said Debra Skinner, coordinator of cataloging and metadata in the Collection and Resource Services Department of Zach S. Henderson Library. “It has direct and widespread implications for academia, medicine, science, industry and for society as a whole.” Events will be held on the third floor of the Library in the Conference Room.
