Make Campus Purchases with Apple Pay and Google Wallet
January 12, 2015

The Eagle Card Program, a unit of
Auxiliary Services, is now offering students, faculty and staff the ability to make purchases with Apple Pay and Google Wallet at campus retail locations. Apple Pay and Google Wallet are two new mobile payment methods for easy, secure and private access to make purchases from a mobile device.
With Apple Pay and Google Wallet, completing transactions is now faster than ever. Students can tackle all of their purchases – from picking up fast-food orders to purchasing their textbooks – with a simple touch of a finger.
Apple Pay users can store their credit card information on their iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 plus and use it to purchase supplies at any campus store. Google Wallet users can also store their information on their Android devices such as the Galaxy S3, S4, S5 or Sony Xperia. From there, users can tap to pay instantly at a store terminal without swiping a credit card.
“We are excited to integrate Apple Pay and Google Wallet into our campus community,” Richard Wynn, Director of the Eagle Card Program, said in an interview. “The mobile systems will make it easier, more convenient and offer a safe method for students, faculty and staff to make purchases in campus stores.”
Google Wallet and Apple Pay will be accepted at Chick-fil-A, Starbucks, GusMart, Market Street Deli, Zach’s Brews, Wrapsody, and Freshens. Retail stores Tech Corner and University Store will also have the mobile payment systems.
