New Health Center Construction Warrants Increased Traffic

[caption id="attachment_4228" align="aligncenter" width="301"] Construction on the new Health Center which will open in November 2015 is now underway.[/caption] Construction for Georgia Southern University's Health Center is underway at the corner of Plant Drive and Chandler Road. Officials urge the campus community to be mindful of increased truck traffic on Plant Drive and to take extra precaution when traveling through the area. The home of the new Health Center, scheduled for completion in November 2015, will be located at the corner of Chandler Road and Plant Drive, across from the Nessmith-Lane Conference Center. The $8.3 million building will house exam rooms, a women’s health unit and services, such as x-ray, pharmacy, laboratory and immunization. The facility will also include the Eagle Eye Care Center, education resources and an area designated for physical therapy within its 39,000 square feet.
