Marketing and Communications Wins Design Award at CASE

Georgia Southern's Office of Marketing and Communications won a design award at the annual Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) conference in Orlando, Florida, Feb. 14-16. The marketing piece, "Our Advice for the Class of 2018," won the Grand Award in the Single-Page Publication or Flier category from among universities and colleges across the country. Megan Hopkins, lead designer in the Office, says the project was a team effort. "It was extra-special for our team to receive an award for such a fun project," she said. This project really was a team effort, involving photography, illustration, typography and even print production." This isn't the first award that the Marketing team has won. Over the last five years, the team has taken home several awards from CASE, the Savannah ADDY awards and the Telly Awards. With each recognition, however, Hopkins says it just validates the hard work poured into marketing projects at Georgia Southern. "Winning this award makes me stand a little taller and work a little harder knowing my efforts might be recognized and have legs beyond the intended audience, but it also furthers our mission in the department to tell more people about the great things Georgia Southern is doing," she said.
