Nominations for Inaugural Green Eagle Awards Close Monday

Strutter Archive_Artboard 16 copy 3Monday, March 30 is the last day to submit nominations for the first-ever Green Eagle Awards--an award to be presented to a faculty member, staff member or student who goes above and beyond in supporting sustainability initiatives at Georgia Southern. This new award for sustainability honors students, faculty and staff who exhibit efforts demonstrating representative practices, sharing solutions, incorporating sustainability into current programs and implementing innovative ideas. Candidates will be chosen from campus-wide nominations that clearly show an individual’s commitment to go above and beyond to ensure campus sustainability goals. Two faculty, two staff and two students will be selected by the Sustainability Fee Committee. The Green Eagle Award Ceremony will take place 2:30-4:30 p.m. on Earth Day, April 22, on the first floor of Henderson Library, in conjunction with the closing reception of the Sustainability Showcase. Nominations must be completed online by 11:59 p.m. Monday Visit the Awards page on the Center for Sustainability website to review the criteria for the Green Eagle Awards and to submit an online nomination. Self-nominations are not allowed, but multiple nominations for different nominees may be submitted.
