Great Minds Lecture Series continues with the ‘Consequences of Violence’
Chad Posick, Ph.D., continues the Great Minds Lecture Series Tuesday, Feb. 9 at 5:30 p.m. in the Fielding S. Russell Union, room 2048.
Posick, an assistant professor in the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology since 2013, will present a lecture entitled “Exposed and Vulnerable: The Consequences of Violence and What Schools, Families, and Communities Can Do to Keep Children Healthy.”
Posick’s research focuses on the intersection of victimization and offending, the role of emotions in human behavior, and measurement issues in criminology and criminal justice. His research has been published in “Psychology of Violence,” “Justice Quarterly,” “Journal of Interpersonal Violence” and the “Journal of Contemporary Criminal Justice.”
He received his doctorate in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Northeastern University in Boston in 2012.
