Health Services continues to make strides in providing quality care for students

Physical therapy now available at Health Services 1H7A8022Health Services is now offering affordable, on-site physical therapy to get students back in action. Special services for the PT Clinic include therapeutic exercises, ultrasounds, cervical and lumbar mechanical traction, vasopneumatic compression, manual therapy, gait training, balance training, conditioning and more. Highly-trained professionals help treat orthopedic conditions, joint and soft tissue injuries, workplace injuries, arthritic conditions, vertigo and sports injuries. “The equipment and facilities in the new student health center are of advanced quality, and having a physical therapist as part of the health care team is a great asset for the student body,” said Athletic Training Program Director Steve Patterson. “The facility gives the student body a place to get rehabilitation of injuries that otherwise would be accessible only off campus. The new PT department also allows a great opportunity for the students in the athletic training program to gain clinical hours with a physical therapist.” The Physical Therapy Clinic is located in Health Services at 984 Plant Drive, Room 2008. Physical Therapy is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1-5 p.m. Connect with University Wellness on Twitter and Facebook for more information or visit http://auxiliary.georgiasouthern.edu/healthservices/.
